The B1/B2 visa for the United States is a nonimmigrant visa that allows individuals to
visit the United States temporarily for business (B1) or tourism and pleasure (B2)
purposes.B1 visas are typically issued for business-related activities, such as
attending meetings, conferences, and negotiating contracts. B2 visas are issued for
tourism, visiting family and friends, medical treatment, and other non-business,
non-educational activities.
1. Often grants 10-year multiple entry permits (B1, B2).
2. Maximum stay length : 6 months.
3. Appropriate for travel and business (B1,B2).
4. 40 nations, including Europe, do not require a visa for entry.
5. The interview is not required for those under the age of 14 or those over 80.
6. Time needed for processing : five to six days (from the day of interview)
